Ordinance Reminders
Construction Hours
The Village of DeForest permits the operation of any construction equipment between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and between the hours of 9:00 am and 6:00 pm Sunday.
2022 Elections
The 2022 Fall Partisan Primary will be held on August 9, 2022. A few reminders as we head into the election:

  • Redistricting was held in the Fall of 2021. Some residents have changed polling locations, confirm your polling location here: MyVote


  • Returning absentee ballots: with the latest court ruling, absentee ballots cannot be returned to any drop box. Please return the ballot by mail, or the person who voted the ballot can return it in-person to Village Hall during business hours or on Election Day. You may not return a ballot for a spouse, family member, neighbor, etc.

Happening Now! Need to register to vote, update your registration or submit for an absentee ballot request? Visit MyVote to complete those tasks!

July 20: Last day for mail in or online voter registration. In-person voter registration available at Village Hall during regular business hours through August 5 until 5:00pm.

July 26: In-person absentee voting starts at Village Hall during regular business hours.

August 5: Last Day for In-person registration/absentee voting. Village Hall will be open until 5:00pm.

August 9: Election Day! Polls are open 7:00am - 8:00pm.
Parks and Recreation

Fireman's Park Phase III with DeForest Street Redesign
In fall of 2021 the Village Board selected a design concept for intergrading DeForest Street into the landscape of Fireman's Park. Four pickleball courts with a shade structure will also be added to Fireman's Park located to the east of the current basketball courts. This project is slated to start after July 4th. Liberty Land Park and Fox Hills Park Playground Equipment
The Village of DeForest was awarded a grant to upgrade park playground equipment. New equipment will be installed at Liberty Land Park (515 Yorktown Road) and Fox Hills Park (4100 Bear Tree Parkway). Earthwork has started at both parks and equipment installation should be happening within the next few weeks. To learn more visit: 2022 Park Projects

WPRA Discounted Attraction Tickets
