What is a Registered Apprenticeship Program?

A Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) is a proven model of apprenticeship that has been validated by the U.S. Department of Labor or a State Apprenticeship Agency.

Registered Apprenticeship is a talent development model that combines actual work experience with classroom Related Training Instruction (RTI) and produces a worker skilled in the occupation. There is a written agreement between the apprentice and the employer, which acknowledges their dual commitment to the training process.
