Monthly Review | JUNE 2024
Greetings!
This month’s reflections evoke a range of emotions, with each moment reinforcing the urgency and importance of our mission.
Amidst the lows of legislative inaction (yet again) on climate in the special session, we enjoyed the highs of honoring outstanding conservation leaders as CLCC kicked off 2024 Excellence in Conservation Award presentations. These awards highlight exemplary individuals and organizations and underscore the power of grassroots dedication in safeguarding our natural environment, connecting people to the land, and inspiring the next generation of conservation leaders.
Our celebrations have been joyful community gatherings, bringing together land trust representatives, local leaders, and elected officials. They remind us what we can achieve through collective effort and commitment. Despite the challenges at the Capitol—and beyond—we remain resolute in our advocacy for meaningful climate action and nature-based policies at every level. Your continued support and engagement are crucial as we navigate the coming months.
Meanwhile, let’s enjoy the summer and feel proud of all we have accomplished together to conserve the places that keep us happy and healthy.

As part of our commitment to supporting land trusts, CLCC will offer tailored presentations and discussions during land trust board meetings, and follow-up with materials and resources to help land trusts implement what they've learned.
