An Important Note From Our Founder
Another Year Helping the Homeless and Their Pets
Happy New Year wishes for friends of Feeding Pets of the Homeless.

A year in review is always a shock of what my staff has undertaken. They have made or taken over 11,500 calls. Helped over 840 pets that were suffering. Processed over 1,000 invoices from hospitals. Posted every week on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and LinkedIn. And created this newsletter each month. I could not be prouder of their accomplishments.

I recently read this study, “The Homeless Experience in America Report” by DuPont Great Stuff, Nov 2021. I think the most shocking item for me was the number of Millennials who are or have experienced homelessness.

Of the 1,000 surveyed, a few samples of the study show:
• 3 in 4 Americans want to help but feel overwhelmed by how big the problem is (73%)
• 1 in 3 Millennials are or have experienced homelessness – more than any generation before them.
• 3 in 10 know someone who is or has experienced homelessness
• 1 in 2 Americans have only enough savings to support them for 2 months or less
• 6 in 10 Americans say they feel guilty for not doing more to help those who are homeless, but are torn between wanting to help and avoiding those experiencing homelessness altogether.

By helping us you do not have to feel torn. We are keeping the animal/human bond of love alive with your support and gifts. Whether that be a gift of funds, pet food and supplies or your time.

You are the heart of Feeding Pets of the Homeless.

May the New Year bless you with love, health, wealth, and happiness.

With gratitude,

Highlighting Those Who Deserve It
Success Story: Roxi
A man has been homeless for about a year now and has been living in his vehicle with his one-year-old chihuahua named Roxi.
He heard of Feeding Pets of the Homeless through a friend we had previously helped.
Roxi had been showing symptoms such as sneezing dramatically and breathing as if she had asthma. Roxi’s case manager was able to get an exam approved and pre-authorized with a Partner Veterinarian in a neighboring city.
Success Story: Panda
A man has been homeless for three years and is sleeping in a tent by a riverbed in CA. He heard about us through a friend. Panda is a ten-year-old Pit Bull who had been spayed about a month prior and from that day on she had not been acting like her normal self. Panda’s case manager was able to get her seen right away.
