Welcome to OICMF Scherzo (skert·sō/ noun: a vigorous, light, or playful composition)
The monthly newsletter of the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival
What a Night!

On April 16, Orcas Center was alive with the amazing rhythms of Third Coast Percussion. The wonderfully diverse audience was deeply moved and, to quote one member, "transformed" as the beats of the quartet's multitudinous instruments filled the hall and our hearts.
We thank co-producer Orcas Center and sponsors The Driftwood Fund, Carol Marcin and Tom Burg (in memory of Anne Marcin), Anonymous, Debra Nichols and Michael Yeaman, and Kathy Dickinson for making this truly extraordinary event possible. Third Coast Percussion fell in love with Orcas and, we think it safe to say, the feeling was mutual.
