Greetings!

2020 has surely been a challenging year for all of us: a year where many of us have lost dear ones, and all of us have been forced to cope with many educational, financial and socio-economic problems. In these stressful times, our thoughts are with everyone across the globe - including here in this country - as we continue to keep up courage, and look forward to 2021 where we hope to eventually control the pandemic and regain happiness in simple moments, such as being able to spend time in person with loved ones.

It is in moments of challenge that we realize the value of mutual support, friendship and love. We are extremely humbled that our extended network of supporters - donors and volunteers - has demonstrated that in the face of adversity, we don't give up, and we continue to do our best to provide assistance to those who are in most need (scroll below to see some updates).
For all of this, a big THANK YOU!

If you are considering to still make end-of-year tax-deductible contributions to charities and haven't donated so Sahaya International earlier this year, we appreciate you keeping us in mind. As a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit organization, your donation will have maximal impact.
We look forward to continue this journey with you in 2021!
Happy holidays!

Community development & conservation (Uganda)
Rafiki Memorial Wildlife Conservation Initiative is new organization near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda, founded by artist and social activist Mushamba. Rafiki is aimed at helping the local communities with sustainable livelihoods, and transforming poachers into conservationists, so people can have productive lives and help save the nature and wildlife (including mountain gorillas).

First virtual Sahaya Walks was a success!
Sahaya Walks is an annual educational & fundraising event that provides an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of 35 HIV-infected children and youth in our programs in India, by providing health-care, education, shelter and food. This year, on October 11, it was held as a virtual event. Thanks to everyone's support, we raised approximately $12,000, which is enough to continue these important programs for the coming year.

Orphan support at Candlelight (Kenya)
We have been able to find more sponsors for orphans that live at the Hands with Hope orphanage, that is run by Fred and Alice Afwai of our partner organization Candlelight in Kenya.
