Greetings!
As you make your final preparations this week to offer the Christ in the Classroom retreat to your own faculty and staff, I am offering my prayers for you as faith leaders in our community.
Paul’s letter to the Ephesians from this Friday’s Lectionary captures, I believe, what is at the heart of this year’s retreat. Paul writes, “In Christ we were also chosen, destined in accord with the purpose of the One who accomplishes all things according to the intention of his will, so that we might exist for the praise of his glory.” Growing as disciples of Christ involves our growth in discernment, listening to the call of our vocation and our ministry, or vocation within that vocation.
It is my hope that as you and your team gather together for this day of prayer and reflection that you are drawn closer to God’s will. In this nearness, I pray you are strengthened and reminded that what we accomplish is for the greater glory of God.
With gratitude,
Nicholas
