Coach Rex with Carter

Carter grew up playing hockey and has always enjoyed working with teammates and coaches both on and off the ice.

The sport has had a major influence on his life, helping him improve each year and motivating him to pursue hockey seriously.

He first became involved with Tucker Hockey through coaches like Rex, Dave, Frank, and Jimmy, who taught him foundational skills early in his career. Returning later to learn more from them, he credits these coaches for helping shape his development.

As a coach, Carter’s favorite part is working with supportive groups of players and seeing kids have fun while learning the game.

Outside of hockey, he enjoys country music, exploring new activities, and learning various trades through work and school.

Coach Rex highlights Carter’s growth from a young participant in Tucker Hockey programs to a respected on-ice instructor. Carter is praised for his development, work ethic, and bright future both in and out of hockey.

Congratulations Carter!

Tucker Hockey Selects Team Canada Rosters for the 2026 Winter Olympics

With the 2026 Winter Olympics approaching, many factors—such as injuries and performance slumps—could influence which NHL players ultimately make Team Canada.

Despite these uncertainties, Canada has enough elite talent to form two medal-contending rosters. This makes the selection process especially challenging for Hockey Canada’s management, led by Doug Armstrong, and the coaching staff, led by Jon Cooper.

Hockey is a deeply passionate part of Canadian culture, and opinions about who should make the Olympic team will be widespread before, during, and even after the Games.

In the spirit of this debate, Tucker Hockey has shared its own projected picks for Team Canada.

Who do you believe will be on the Final Team Canada Roster?

How to Improve a Player's Scoring Ability?

We are what we

repeatedly do –

excellence then –

is not an act –

but a habit.

~ Aristotle

Improving a player’s scoring ability starts with strong skating, which builds balance, edge control, and a foundation for better puck handling, passing, and shooting.

Confidence grows as shooting mechanics, accuracy, release, power, and pressure-handling improve—skills that must be practiced from stationary to in-motion to game-speed situations.

Mastering various shot types and developing offensive tactics like creating space, deking, and shooting in stride further increases scoring chances.

Even elite players like Connor Bedard, Alexander Ovechkin, and Sidney Crosby sharpen their skills through constant practice.

With better shooting comes more confidence, more shot attempts, and ultimately more goals—a simple formula for advancing a player’s offensive game.

The Tucker Hockey Mission Statement:

Through The Tucker Hockey Way:

  • Instilling the love and passion for hockey

  • Being inclusive to all ages, background & skill levels

  • Improving hockey and life skills in a positive learning environment

  • Making a difference!

This is our Legacy of Values.

Connor Zary

- 16.5%

Jonathan Huberdeau

- 16.5%

Our Q3 Hockey Zones Newsletter Poll was the closest on record.

Only 1 % point separated the top result from the other 5 choices!

Nazem Kadri was the most popular choice to lead the Calgary Flames

players in points by our December 6th 2025 deadline.

Kadri did not disappoint and delivered to lead the Flames!

As of December 6th he had 7 goals and 19 assists for 26th points.

Defenseman Rasmus Andersson ended up surprising in 2nd place

with 6 goals and 14 assists for 20 points.

Kadri leads the Flames in scoring this season but he's not even in the Top 50 so far after 30 games.

The Flames are one of the lowest scoring teams in the NHL and are in

Customer Testimonials

Adult Group

Program Testimonial

I recently attended the Adult Fundamentals and Specialty Skills programs. I really enjoyed the sessions and the coaching; I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’m grateful that Tucker Hockey provides programs for Adults who want to better their hockey skills and have more fun playing the game.

Finding quality coaching programs for those who have aged out of minor hockey or who are finding hockey later in life can be challenging. Tucker Hockey does an incredible job of meeting players where they are. Having played house league for 10 years, and men’s league for another 20, I was going into the programs with an open mind ready to correct my built-up bad habits and take in new learnings. My last couple of seasons have felt a little blah, I felt slower, less effective, and less engaged in the play.

I found the program structure really valuable, and I loved the focus on repetition and progression, it was a perfect approach to break down any bad habits and reinforce the proper mechanics. Through the 16 sessions, I picked up new skills, polished a LOT of old ones, and have a renewed vigor for hockey.

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to Rex, Ron, Jimmy, Frank, Bobby, Mike, Korwin, Carter, Faith, and Alannah for all your guidance, professionalism, and passion for what you do. You helped reignite my passion for hockey and I’m feeling more confident than ever going into this upcoming season.

For any player of any skill level, I would highly recommend Tucker Hockey for your hockey development needs. Thanks so much!
