Red Light Camera Program Continues to Improve Intersection Safety
Mountain House's Red Light Camera Safety Program, run in partnership with Verra Mobility, is California's first owner-liability program of its kind. Fourteen cameras are now active at high-risk intersections across the City, including Bethany/Arnaudo and De Anza/Arnaudo.
|
14 cameras installed at high-risk intersections
62% drop in daily red light violations since the courtesy warning period began, from about 470 to about 180 events per day
$100 maximum civil penalty. No DMV points, no traffic school
|
Running a red light is one of the leading causes of serious intersection crashes. A complete stop means no movement at all behind the limit line, including before turning right on red. Slow down as you approach a yellow light and give yourself time to stop safely.
