Sunday Morning Prayer Vigil

for Midterm Elections, 11/1

Sunday, November 1, 2026, Central will gather at 8:00 a.m. for a Prayer Vigil for the Midterm Elections. The vigil will begin promptly at 8:15 a.m. We will meet on the sidewalk near the MLK statue and "The Arc that Bends Towards Justice," across from the church's upper parking lot.



2 Chronicles 7:14 -- If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Mock Election Day at Central, 11/1

In observance of the National Children's Sabbath Celebration, Central's Children and Youth ministries will hold a Mock Election Day on Sunday, November 1, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (during the Fellowship Hour). Complete with a simulated voting experience. Come to the 2nd Floor of the Education/Administration Building and cast your vote.

All Saints Sunday at Central, 11/1

All Saints Day, also called the Feast of All Saints or All Souls Day is observed every year on the first day of November. United Methodist Churches honor the memory of deceased loved ones. This slideshow includes some of the ways churches remember those who have passed. (Find out more)

An Election Eve Service of Prayer, Courage, and Commitment to the Common Good, 11/2

On the eve of the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, join the General Board of Church and Society for Faithful in This Hour, a virtual service of prayer, discernment, and a renewed commitment to the common good.

Through worship and intentional prayer, participants are invited to listen to members of the faith community and reflect on voting their values with humility and care, supporting equitable civic participation, and renewing their commitment to the work of justice beyond Election Day.
