| | Celebrating Missions in Our Own Backyard! | | |
It's exciting to hear about Prince George members serving in distant places like Kenya, North Carolina and Honduras. We are blessed to have a growing number of parishioners who want to represent Jesus in disaster or poverty-stricken locations.
The Outreach Committee also wants to celebrate and encourage our members who are serving regularly here in our own community. You may volunteer in your neighborhood, at your school, at a nursing home, as part of your job or at a non-profit agency in the Georgetown area. Would you take a few minutes and let us know where you serve? We would love to have a detailed list of all the areas our church is serving through its members.
Please send Anne Hill an email and include your name and the place(s) that you serve. Or you can complete the handout at Sunday's service and include in the offertory plate. Then she’ll compile a list so that our church family can celebrate all the ways we serve in our own backyard. Thank you!
| | Please make note that we will have several special guests coming to worship with us at Prince George Winyah over the next few Sundays. | |

The Thirteenth Sunday After Pentecost
| | The Rev. Ryan Landes will preach at our historic church's three worship services: 7:45, 9:00, and 11:15 a.m. | | Sunday School Resumes with Vision Sundays | | |
Join us for a new three-week series in Adult Education starting this Sunday with a focus on the core values of our Vision Statement: Worship, Discipleship, and Mission.
The Rev. Mike Lumpkin will lead this week’s session on Worship: exploring what do we mean by that word? What counts as worship? And how can I engage worship at a deeper level?
Then on Sept. 14, the Rev. Ramsey Gilchrist will explore Discipleship: what is a disciple and how do I become one? Is it the next level up from a regular Christian? What is the point of being one?
Finally, on Sept. 21, the Rev. Gary Beson, our Youth Minister Brett Kucera and the Kenya Mission Trip Team will share a presentation on their recent trip and show just some of the fruit of the work this church is doing around the world for the good of the kingdom.
If you are new to the Prince George community, this is a great way to learn what we are all about and you won't want to miss any of it! Coffee and pastries will be provided by our excellent Prince George Cafe hospitality team.

Children's Church: We will have our St. Martha's (ages 3 yr to 1st grade) and St. Andrew's (2nd - 5th graders) for our young parishioners to feel at home at church, deepen their understanding of God's love, and build lasting connections with one another.
After the procession, children are invited to leave the sanctuary with their teachers for a time of prayer, scripture, and creative activities in the Bourne Building. They will return to rejoin their families during the Passing of the Peace.
Nursery: Our PGW Nursery will be open and staffed for infants and toddlers, providing a safe and caring space for our youngest members during worship.
