Honoring African Women Who Strive for Justice
11:30 am PT, 2:30 pm ET, 8:30 pm (Nigeria time).
We hope you will join us on Friday, March 26, for the DISARM/End Wars Committee webinar, “Honoring African Women who Strive for Justice.”
As a followup to our successful webinar, “AFRICOM and Human Rights in Africa”, we offer this webinar in the context of the militarization of the African continent by AFRICOM. The “Africa Command” handles U.S. military operations in Africa and maintains military relations with 53 countries on that continent. AFRICOM is planning its biggest military training exercise yet for this coming June: AFRICOM Lion.
Margaret Kimberley of Black Alliance for Peace will start us off with an update on AFRICOM.
Please click here to register in advance for this Zoom meeting.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Each honoring person and honoree is invited to speak together for 5 minutes. If the honoree is dead or in prison, the speaker can take 5 minutes.
Women’s resistance to military violence is growing! We’re looking forward to a richly participatory webinar! Please join us!
