Prayer Shawls Needed!!

Recently, we gave away many of our prayer shawls as part of a service project with our Confirmation students. Therefore, we are in need of more prayer shawls so we can continue to have this important ministry!
If you are interested in providing prayer shawls for 1st Lutheran, please contact Erika. She can provide more details regarding the size, color, etc. These homemade shawls are so, so important in caring for others in our community. Please spread the word, as well - if you know anyone who would enjoy creating prayer shawls for us, please refer them to Erika!! Thank you!!

Our annual Bread for the World Offering of Letters will be held during services the weekend of June 5-6. Bread for the World is a non-partisan, Christian advocacy organization based in the United States that advocates for policy changes to end hunger. Over the years, the offering of letters and emails from congregations like ours has helped to pass legislative victories that reduce hunger in the U.S. and around the world. With the global pandemic, present need is greater than ever before! Members of the Social Concerns Committee will be on hand to provide letter packets for attendees to take home, review, sign and send to our Congressional Senators & Representative. You may also wish to send emails to Congress or write your own letter and can learn more at Get Involved | Bread for the World (www.bread.org).
