May Wine Tasting Club: Theme TBA

Tuesday, May 21st | 5:30 - 7:00 PM

Wine Tasting Club meets every third Tuesday of every month. Our staff will organize the tasting by varietal, appellation, or region. Each tasting will consist of 6 to 8 wines and will be tasted blind. The blind tasting format is guaranteed to provide ample opportunity for lively discussion and learning. Cost: $20 per person. Only 12 spots available per month.

Advanced reservation required over the phone or in person.

Friday, April 26 | 5:30 - 8:00 PM

Join us to help raise money for Alpine Kiwanis. We will sample a variety of wine, beer, and spirits from around the world. This month's lineup includes G5 Brewing from Beloit, Soonhari Korean Soju, and an international selection of wine from Winebow Illinois. Admission is a $20 cash/check donation to the Alpine Kiwanis Club.

First Friday Wine Tasting Benefiting KFACT

Soonhari & Chum Churum

Korean Soju

Soju is Korean's national drink, traditionally distilled from fermented rice, but can also be made from tapioca, sweet potatoes, or other grains. Considered one of the oldest spirits in history, the word soju quite literally translates to 'burned liquor' or 'burned brandy' referring to the high temperature at which the beverage is distilled at. Soju is typically consumed chilled in a shot glass, but higher quality versions can be served neat and sipped. It can also be used as a clever base for some tasty cocktails.
