Achieving Your Goals in Today's Economic Climate

The Authority is dedicated to providing your organization with professional guidance while exploring and acquiring a mobile clinic that meets your needs, budget, and timeline.

In this volatile and uncertain economy, healthcare professionals planning to purchase a mobile clinic are facing higher prices for new custom-built options and potential extended build-out delivery dates due to renewed supply chain issues. One provider said that “In the last few weeks, we are observing an enormous amount of stress for our organization and community health centers across the country, as we see threats of huge cuts to Medi-CAL. At this time, we are in crisis mode about being careful with funds and costs.” Unfortunately, the need for healthcare remains for most underserved populations, and may likely rise, as the challenges to our national economy takes its toll. With expectations high that federal initiatives will limit available funding, advancing mobile healthcare services require alternative solutions.

Mobile Clinics are a proven modality for facilitating community outreach and providing vital medical, dental, and/or specialty health care. With reduced budgets and immediate needs, this is the time for healthcare providers to consider alternate solutions for going mobile. With pre-owned mobile clinics, there are opportunities now for acquiring a vehicle with low miles and in well maintained condition at reasonable prices. Another solution is the conversion of a pre-owned vehicle (of recent vintage and low

miles) with a brand new interior clinic, built within 3-4 months.

Reflecting on over 25 years of experience serving the mobile healthcare sector, we pride ourselves on our ability to assist you in the decision-making process. The Authority understands the value of exercising due diligence when considering the launch of a mobile clinic, and you can be confident that our staff will focus on ensuring a smooth, comprehensive approach to achieving your goals. We’re here to serve you!

Organizations Making a Difference

The Authority is proud to be a member of these outstanding organizations offering

educational and networking opportunities for mobile healthcare providers:

Mobile Clinics Find New Homes

The Mobile Dentist: Seller (MD) … “I again want to thank you guys; you did a great job (selling our vehicle). We were a little teary-eyed yesterday. We are very attached to our mobile practice and these last two are kind of a reminder that it is going away. Thanks

again. You made this work for everyone.” Buyer (OR) … “You’re amazing. The Authority has been great through the buying process. Thank you so much!”

Christenson Health Services: Seller (UT) ... “Thank you for your services in helping sell our

mobile medical clinic. I contacted you and it was clear you would find a buyer soon. You

made the pricing straightforward, and I knew exactly what to expect. As the potential

buyers came forward, I felt your communication was excellent. You found a good home

for our mobile clinic, at a good price. It was really a great experience.”

Tidbit: Wheelchair accessibility. Q. Are there ADA regulations requiring a mobile clinic to have a wheelchair lift? A. NO. This requirement is left by the ADA to be regulated by States, and most do not require a lift (or ramp). It’s best to check with individual State Health & Safety Codes. In general, States require some accommodation for a person with disabilities that minimally result in referral to services, programs or activities usable by persons with disabilities at alternative accessible facilities. Regarding accessibility at the mobile clinic site, a wheelchair lift (operated from within the clinic or vehicle underbody) can be included in the vehicle build-out, at estimated cost range $12-18K. Alternately, consider a wheelchair ramp, at estimated cost range $5-7K.
