St. John's EYC
Sunday, October 18th| Lowry Room
Middle School (6th–8th) 5–6:30 p.m.
High School (9th–12th) 6–7:30 p.m.
This year, EYC is meeting in the Lowry Room, for a more homey youth group feel (including beanbags and floor cushions).
This week, our Middle School group will be doing Sandwich Sunday, and discussing the importance of family.
The High Schoolers will be joined by our YoPros group, in a discussion of what faith can look like as a young adult.
Join us for games, a lesson, raffle, and dinner. We welcome you to invite your friends!

St. John's Fall Festival
Sunday, October 25th 3 p.m. Parish Hall
We need YOUR help for Fall Festival! Our annual Pumpkin Painting Party is being reimagined this year as a Fall Festival! Join us in and around the Parish Hall on Sunday, October 25th for games like Bobbing for Apples, crafts, hay rides, and (of course) Pumpkin Painting.
Our friends from Cornerstone Kids will be joining us as well, so come and make new friends!
Youth, we will sign for 3 service hours—so contact Ayana to volunteer.
We also have a Wish List below, if you'd like to help us with supplies. Thanks for your generosity!

Metropolitan Ministries Holiday Tents
Saturday, December 19th 2:30-5:30 p.m.
Our annual Metro Ministries Holiday Tents EYC shift will be Saturday, December 19th from 2:30-5:30 p.m.! Our group will be helping in-need families prepare for Christmas. Spots are limited (and go quickly!), so please sign up as soon as possible below!
To start, please only sign up Youth (no parents) until we see what our numbers will be.
We will also have a Family Holiday Tents shift (focused on families with younger children) on Saturday, November 14th from 9 a.m.-Noon. Please don’t sign up for that time frame unless you have younger siblings!

St. John's Sunday School
Sunday, October 18th 10:30-11:15 a.m.
Middle School Sunday School (Led by Bob Alter and Hugh Cruse) will meet in Room 205
High School Sunday School (Led by Leland Baldwin and Kate Wood) will meet in the Upstairs Innovation Room
All Sunday School students and teachers will go first for Communion, and then come into the side hallway for check-in and nametags.

EYC Top Golf Day
Sunday, November 1st 3-6 p.m.
Our group is heading to Topgolf St. Pete for an afternoon of fun, food, and friendly competition. Your registration includes sliders, mini hot dogs, and drinks.
Cost: $40 per person
Friends are welcome!
Parents, please let us know if you’re available to help drive.

EYC Dinners & Helpers
Thank you to the Shenk family for providing this Sunday's EYC Dinner!
Sharing a meal together is one of the best parts of EYC. Each parent is asked to provide dinner once per semester. Meals should serve 20–25 people, include dessert, and offer a veggie option; nut-free when possible. Drinks and paper products are provided, and you are welcome to team up with another family.

A Prayer for Young Persons
God our Father, you see your children growing up in an unsteady and confusing world: Show them that your ways give more life than the ways of the world, and that following you is better than chasing after selfish goals. Help them to take failure, not as a measure of their worth, but as a chance for a new start. Give them strength to hold their faith in you, and to keep alive their joy in your creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (BCP, pg 829)
