Continuing Education: The International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) is proud to announce its partnership with the California Speech Language Hearing Association (CSHA) to offer 6.5 continuing education units for this course for speech-language pathologists (SLPs), speech-language pathology assistants (SLPAs) and students. ASHA CE Registry: If you are a member of the ASHA CE Registry and would like CSHA to report your coursework to the Registry, you must check "Yes" for ASHA reporting during your end of course survey. By doing so, you consent to having your information sent to ASHA CE. Visit the following link to learn more about eligibility to earn ASHA CEUs. ASHA CEU Eligibility. To receive credit for the symposium, please be present for all courses. No partial credit will be provided. Following the conclusion of the symposium, attendees will be asked to complete a course survey and to identify three things they have learned from the course. Certificates are contingent on the completion of the end of course survey.

UK IDDSI Academy Pilot in Bristol

IDDSI Global is pleased to announce the IDDSI Academy Pilot course in the United Kingdom. This multidisciplinary pilot course consists of two parts: a mandatory online learning component (to be completed prior to in-person training) and a full day of in-person training on the IDDSI framework, testing methods, practical application, and hands-on practice with faculty feedback. The advanced training of the IDDSI Academy pilot will be exclusively conducted by IDDSI Global, with teaching materials provided by subject matter experts.

This official training has been specifically designed by the IDDSI Academy to elevate the knowledge and skills of participants with:

• Guidance from subject matter experts in how, what & why of the IDDSI framework, definitions and testing methods.
• Working with texture-modified foods and drinks
• Hands-on training offering complex problem-solving opportunities
• Networking and peer learning opportunities
• Coordinated learning & assessment on IDDSI testing for drinks and foods

Prerequisite:

Participants MUST complete a short online training course prior to attending the Academy pilot. Any registrant who does not complete the online training course will not be admitted to the Academy pilot course. No refunds will be provided. Information for how to complete the online training will be posted here - registrants should not expect to be notified via email of this prerequisite.

Themed 'Babies, Boomers and Beyond: IDDSI Global implementation and Australian Local Impact' will feature a packed one-day program providing IDDSI implementation tips, IDDSI innovation for food and drinks, training initiatives for cooks, chefs and nutrition champions and an understanding of what it is to live with eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties.

This one-day conference will also bring industry supporters together with attendees in a unique format for optimum engagement. The conference will focus on IDDSI within the healthcare, aged care, disability, community, and health hospitality sectors. IDDSI Academy Pilot, Tuesday 21 October 2025

Join us on Tuesday 21 October 2025 for IDDSI Global's Academy Pilot course. This multidisciplinary event offers practical learning combined with theory. It brings together the worlds of food science, oral physiology across the age spectrum, culinary expertise, application of IDDSI to foods and drinks and IDDSI testing. Group work and problem solving is a key feature of the program. The IDDSI Academy Pilot is being held in three locations in 2025 – Italy (Feb), UK (Sept), Australia (Oct).
