Welcome to Heart to Hand!

Welcome to Heart to Hand, the newsletter of the Massachusetts 4-H Hearts & Hands Alumni Association. Whether you were involved in 4-H for one year or a lifetime, you are part of a community connected by shared experiences, service, leadership, and a commitment to making a difference.

Heart to Hand will help you stay connected to fellow alumni, discover opportunities to engage with Massachusetts 4-H, celebrate alumni accomplishments, and learn how 4-H continues to shape young people across the Commonwealth.

We hope each issue inspires you to reconnect, share your story, and find new ways to put your heart for service into action. After all, once a 4-H'er, always a 4-H'er.

Yours in 4-H,

The Massachusetts 4-H Hearts & Hands Alumni Association

Hearts for Service. Hands for Impact.

Join the Massachusetts 4-H Hearts and Hands Alumni Association at The Big E on 4-H Day!

Join fellow Massachusetts 4-H alumni at The Big E on 4-H Day, September 19th for the first convening of HHAA! We'll meet at the New England Center at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. You'll have the opportunity to connect with other Massachusetts 4-H alumni, listen to an alumni panel at 1:00 p.m., and learn how to get involved with Massachusetts 4-H and the Foundation. We hope to see you there!

Imanni Hayes (pictured at right) truly enjoys sharing her Massachusetts 4-H experience with everyone she meets. And no wonder — after participating in the 4-H STEAM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Arts/Math) program starting in 7th grade at the Chestnut TAG Middle School, Imanni has grown into a valued volunteer for the Massachusetts 4-H program as an ambassador and adult mentor at Explore UMass this year. "I love telling people about 4-H," she enthused. "Any chance I get to talk about it, I'm always willing to." Look for more on Imanni's story in the 2026 issue of Compass this fall!
