Dear All,

This is my last letter to you as President of the EMC Society.

I would like to thank everyone who has made this such an enjoyable and fulfilling two years. From all the volunteers leading the technical or geographical facing activities of the Society to those who joined us at the Symposia and webinars. Because of everyone’s ingenuity, hard work and “never give up” spirit, the Society is heading into 2022 in a very strong position. There has been some great content with the on-line meetings but the value of meeting in person reaches beyond the content and I am very much looking forward to having some technical meetings face-to-face.

I will be handing over the gavel to Vignesh Rajamani who will be President in 2022 and 2023. Having known and worked with him for several years, I know his ideas and energy will bring new successes to the Society and I’m looking forward to serving under his leadership.

As past President, I will chair the Constitution and By-laws Committee and the Nominations and Appointments Committee. I will be in touch about nominations for the next round of Board elections soon and I would welcome any views you might have about the EMC Society’s operations that might help inform any future revision of our governing documents.

Thank you also to everyone who voted for me during the IEEE Board elections. I am excited to be a Director-Elect in 2022 and Director of Division IV for 2023 and 2024.
