A Summer of Career Exploration Adventures
This summer, we are embarking on an exciting Career Exploration Field Trip Series with our middle school girls. Throughout the month of July, we will take girls on various field trips to explore different industries and career opportunities.
Our first field trip was last week, our friends at the renowned Citizens of Humanity company, invited us to tour their laundry facility and headquarters. Girls learned about the jean design and development process from inception to creation. A panel was arranged so that girls could hear from the women leaders across the various company departments and gain insight into how they all work together to run a fashion company.
To experience the product creation process, our girls got to tie-dye their own shirts. This allowed them to express themselves creatively and feel empowered to create something unique to take home.
These immersive field trips are created to ignite curiosity and inspire girls to see what is possible. If you are interested in hosting a field trip you can contact Ana at azavala@girlsincla.org.
