Responsive and Resilient: Serving Today, Preparing for Tomorrow

Cedar Park’s proposed FY 2027 budget totals $216.1 million and focuses on delivering the high-quality services residents rely on today while making responsible investments in our community’s future.

At the heart of the proposal is the $84.9 million General Fund budget, which prioritizes public safety, infrastructure, the City workforce, and the maintenance of existing facilities.

Together, the proposed budget and tax rate reflect the City’s commitment to being responsive to today’s needs while remaining resilient and preparing for tomorrow.

Residents will have additional opportunities in the coming weeks to learn more and provide input during public hearings on the proposed budget and tax rate before final adoption.

Chlorine Rinse Ends August 31

The City of Cedar Park’s temporary water disinfection change, also known as the Chlorine Rinse, is coming to an end.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 31, the City will return to normal water treatment operations. It may take up to seven days for the system to fully transition back to its standard disinfection process. During this time, some customers may continue to notice a chlorine taste or smell. The water remains safe to drink, bathe in, cook with and use for everyday activities throughout the transition.

If you still notice a chlorine smell after Sept. 7, run each faucet for a few minutes. If the smell persists, contact Public Works at 512-401-5550 or pwadmin@cedarparktexas.gov, as additional flushing may be needed.
