A Note from Andres

Dear Neighbors,

As winter weather moves through our Commonwealth, we want to remind everyone that safety comes first. Snow and ice make travel dangerous—not only for drivers, but also for the emergency responders and VDOT crews working around the clock to keep our primary roads clear for ambulances, fire, and police vehicles.

Governor Spanberger urges all Virginians to take this storm seriously, stating:

“Everyone should stay informed, avoid travel when possible, and take precautions to protect themselves and their families as this storm moves through our Commonwealth.”

We echo that message and ask residents to remain patient, stay warm, and allow road crews the space they need to do their work safely and efficiently.

As always, please reach out to my office at Mason@fairfaxcounty.gov or by phone at our main phone line 703-256-7717 if we can be of service.

In case of an emergency, call 911. For road conditions or plowing updates, please contact VDOT Customer Service.

If our office is closed due to weather, we will share updates on our social media channels and through the Fairfax County Operating Status page.

Sincerely,

Andres Jimenez
