A Sabbatical Update from Dean Jones
The week-long England portion of my sabbatical has come and gone. Every day held joys and discoveries. And what conversations! I was privileged to sit down for almost an hour with former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams in his study. I benefited from his insight on the Trinity and hearing him reflect on what is contributing to vitality in English churches. I got to hear him preach the Sunday following at a small Cambridge congregation experiencing revitalization.

While in Cambridge, I attended Choral Evensongs at King’s College Chapel (meeting their Dean) and St. John’s College Chapel, striking up a great conversation with the president of the college afterward, who happened to be the officiant. I slipped into yet another church (click here to continue reading)...
