Hi Golfers,

I would like to thank everyone for choosing Big Sticks Golf as their place to improve their golf game. BSG was created for people who love golf to come and work on their game while having fun! It has been a busy start to this outdoor season. Welcome to all the new golfers who have brought their game here. We started this business 20+years ago and have some great relationships with our customers so Thanks -of course -to our long timers, as well. It is especially appreciated now as the idea of "indoor" golf has become so popular!

As the weather finally warms up- remember your balls go farther the hotter it gets and most courses dry out. The fairways and greens get firmer so we get more roll. Try to keep this in mind when selecting clubs.

As always- pick small targets and really focus on swinging to your target and not the ball. "Be where your feet are", meaning play the shot that is front of you don't think about your last shot or your next shot or possible scores Just do the best you can with the shot you are faced with. That's generally enough to think about.

Get out and have fun and possibly try to add some tournament golf to the mix.

On a housekeeping note-There has been an increase in last minute cancels & rescheduling lately. I know changes, emergencies and life happens but I like to remind people of our appointment policy (please see below).

Staff Highlight...meet John Saraceno

John is retired from the Navy and during that career he was stationed on a nuclear sub!

He has spent the last 30 years in the golf industry

He loves Hawaii and tries to visit as often as he can

He also loves to scuba dive

Terry's Tip: With non tournament golf, play from the tees that match the distance you feel most comfortable playing-this not only can help with frustration it also helps combat slow play. Too many times golfers play from the "correct" tee but the distance doesn't match their ability. The tee police won't care

Reminder of Our Appointment Policies

It is a busy time of year for many people. It is also a busy lesson/practice time for us. It is very frustrating when people do not give us 24-hour notice when they cancel or reschedule. If we receive a notice of cancellation/reschedule within 24 hours- you will be responsible for the payment of that lesson/practice appointment either as a deduction from your series/prepaid package or as a separate charge. NO EXCEPTIONS! If multiple last minute cancellations or reschedules occur, a mandatory prepay for all future bookings will be required. Thanks for the understanding and respect to abide by our booking policies!
