The adult Leadership Chattooga class graduated!
Here are moments from their big day at the Hurley Community Development Center as the Chamber hosted a special monthly luncheon. 2024 Leadership Graduate, guest speaker Jenny Dalton virtually delivered a very moving narrative inspiring the class to stay connected and keep growing their leadership skills.

Chattooga FLEX Finance Workshop
The Top 10 student entrepreneur companies sat down for a in depth look at their financial needs and goals for the upcoming year. They learned how to work up a profit & loss sheet, a flow sheet and how to account for everything associated with running their busiiness.
| | |
Chrissy Teague with Southeast First National Bank led the three-hour workshop. Southeast FNB hosts a similar workshop each Thursday morning for the public at the Hurley Community Development Center. (see flyer below)
At the end of the session, Chrissy had prepared seed loans for each business. These small loans with no interest will help teach the students how to manage their money in their business. The loans, issued to be used in the business, will be paid back in February.
Coming up in January---
FIELD TRIP This month, Georgia FLEX has invited our group to Atlanta for an all-day field trip to AmericasMart and the State Capitol. Students will participate in a Capitol tour, hear from guest speakers and attend a
networking lunch.
MARKETING WORKSHOP Blake Tannery with BravoCharlieTango will lead the student companies in a workshop on determining their target market, developing their story, and creating their brand.

The Chamber offices have MOVED to the Hurley Community Development Center (HCDC), and we couldn't be more thrilled to offer more services to businesses: Shared Workspaces, Training Center, Private Meeting Spaces.
PLUS, the Welcome Center will be more centrally located for greater impact & reach.
All this would not be possible without the collaboration between private (Southeast First National Bank and the Hurley Family), public (Chattooga County), and a non-profit (Chattooga Chamber).

SUPPORT THE ARTS!
The Tooga will once again be a performing arts venue and centerpiece in downtown Summerville. Until that time, please support the local arts in our schools, in our events, in our art environments and everywhere that is Chattooga.
A world without arts is a world without creative thoughts, chosen words, inspiring visuals and magnificent sounds.
