Congratulations to Adrian:
YVCHR Volunteer of the Month!
Adrian joined YVCHR this fall and has been an incredible asset to our volunteer team! He is versatile, energetic, and a natural leader. Adrian's favorite volunteer opportunity to date is our recent Fall Garden Club because he has been able "to see how something as minuscule as a seed has the power to impact an entire community." Through his participation in this club, he has developed a sense of appreciation for the work and selflessness it takes to grow food that is often taken for granted. Volunteering gives Adrian the opportunity to see the community from a different perspective and to join forces with the hidden heroes who are committed to helping others through service.

Besides volunteering, Adrian enjoys soccer and plays goalie for his high school. After graduation, he plans to attend college in Virginia to pursue a degree in business with the hope of becoming his own boss.
Fun Fact: Adrian is the first American in his entire family. His parents were born in Panama and Colombia.
Let's Make Kindness Contagious!
Spread some positivity and participate in our KINDNESS CAMPAIGN by posting a "kindness gram" on Flipgrid! Designed to highlight the good in our community and inspire spontaneous and thoughtful acts of kindness throughout Hampton Roads, we have already surpassed our goal of 100 submissions. But it's not too late! Share your kindness gram today and demonstrate #YKindnessMatters!
Special thanks to Huntington Ingalls Industries for partnering with YVCHR for this important initiative.
