July 2025

Dear Members,

Summer is always a busy time for our industry, and this year is no exception. From coast to coast to coast, tourism operators are welcoming visitors, supporting local jobs, and fuelling Canada’s visitor economy.

As we welcome visitors this summer, we’re also looking ahead and laying the groundwork for a stronger, more prosperous tourism sector year-round. Over the last few months, TIAC has been actively consulting with industry partners and preparing our pre-budget submission to ensure tourism priorities are front and centre in the upcoming federal budget. We’re building on that momentum and getting ready for what’s next: advocacy season.

This fall, we’ll be hosting the One Hill of a Party, a reception hosted on Parliament Hill in collaboration with the Provincial and Territorial Tourism Associations (PTTIAs). It’s happening this September, and it’s a chance to reconnect with Members of Parliament, Senators, and decision makers in a relaxed setting as the House starts its fall sitting. These conversations set the stage for action, building momentum as we approach Hill Days in November. There, we’ll advance sector priorities through direct engagement, strengthening our advocacy and making a compelling case for the value of tourism in Canada.

Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we look forward to seeing you on the Hill this fall.
