From the President-

The Friends just approved funding an exciting fall and winter programming budget for the Children's librarians. Check the library calendar regularly for all the wonderful things to come. And, come visit the pollinator garden regularly behind the library along the cemetery wall - it is magnificent. The late summer/fall flowers (goldenrod/asters) are starting to bud and flower.

On Saturday, August 24 from 10-12 the Friends are hosting an open house to show off our tree mural and pollinator garden. Stop by for delicious refreshments of home-made iced tea/coffee/elder-flower syrup lemonade, vegetarian finger food and healthy, baked morsels.

Your support helps the library offer great programming and resources all year long!

Each donor will have their name appear on a leaf of the tree on our new mural in recognition of your support. You can pay via PayPal or bring a check to the library made out to the Friends of the Rowley Library. Green leaves for individuals are $25. An orange family leaf is $50. And a gold top contributor leaf is $100. These donation leaves will replace our traditional membership.

In our Gallery: Richard Hydren

With a life-long passion for horses and over five decades immersed in the arts, Richard does more than just take photographs- he delves deeply to express the emotions of the moment and capture the unique and valued relationships shared between horses and their humans, uniting his artistic vision with the dreams of the subject.

You are invited to join the artist for a reception at the library on Thursday, August 15, from 5pm to 7pm.

If you are a local artist, or have a hobby or interest you’d like to share with the community, please give us a call at 978-948-2850.
