Two Elms College Students Named As Members of the Holyoke Colleen Court

The Elms College community was proud to cheer on two of our very own the weekend of March 21st at the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Jadyn Christie, a sophomore studying Communication Sciences and Disorders, has been named this year’s Grand Colleen, while Paige Leahy, a freshman in the Nursing program, took part as a member of the Colleen Court.

From Blazers to Colleens, their achievement is a meaningful reminder that Elms College students carry their spirit of leadership and pride into every community they serve.

Saint Joseph's Day

On Wednesday, March 18, several Sisters of St. Joseph and community members gathered for a special Mass in celebration of St. Joseph's Day. We are always honored and blessed to welcome members of our founding congregation to campus for Mass and lunch!

Spring Break

From March 6-14, two groups of students and staff participated in the Compassionate Hearts Mission Trips to Iceland and Jamaica. Partnering with Compass Path for Iceland, and the Diocese of Mandeville for Jamaica, our students and staff had a full week of volunteering, exploring the culture of Iceland and Jamaica, and daily reflection on the experience. All have returned with full hearts and gratitude for the people with whom they walked during the week.

Also, during spring break, the Elms College softball and baseball teams headed to Florida for a week of competition, team bonding, and sunshine. The trip gave student-athletes the opportunity to sharpen their skills on the field while representing Blazer pride away from campus. From early-season matchups to time spent together as teams, the Florida experience was a memorable way to kick off the spring season.

Elms College Hosted Vatican Journalist Christopher White for the Reverend Hugh Crean Distinguished Lecture & the Sister Mary Dooley Lecture

Elms College welcomed acclaimed Vatican journalist and biographer Christopher White to campus on Thursday, March 19, for the Reverend Hugh Crean Distinguished Lecture and the Sister Mary Dooley Lecture.

In his talk, From Missionary Priest to Missionary Pope: Inside the Election of the First U.S. Pope, White offered a compelling inside look at the historic election of Pope Leo XIV, the first American pope, and reflected on what this milestone could mean for the future of the Catholic Church. Drawing on his firsthand experience covering the Vatican, White explored both the significance of the moment and the broader global impact of this new papacy.

The event brought the campus community together for an engaging discussion on faith, leadership, and history in the making.

The lecture recording is available at the link below.
