Created by the Lehan family, this new Fund supports programs that strengthen health, stability, and quality of life across DeKalb County. Their generosity will expand access to initiatives that improve lives today and for years to come.

Growing the Next Generation

Expanding hands-on learning in agriculture and conservation.

A $42,000 grant is expanding agriculture and conservation internships for Kishwaukee College students. The grant, from the Samardzija-Gutesha Family Fund at the Community Foundation, removes financial barriers while helping grow the next generation of local farmers and conservation leaders.
