DFX: Connecting to Build Community

The team at DFX enters the new year with a renewed commitment to deepening connections with those we serve. In the best of times, the bonds between people lift our spirits and inspire us. In more challenging times like those we are living through, these moments of connection are even more essential to renew our energy and spark hope.

We are humbled and gratified by the generosity of all those who contributed to DFX in 2025. These funds will fuel our efforts in the coming year to serve more children in the clinic, to partner with additional schools, to train more clinicians in the clinical reasoning models that follow our Therapy that fits® philosophy, and to create additional innovative means to support the delivery of compassionate, science-informed transdisciplinary care.

We are working every day across all our program areas to improve understanding of neurodiversity, support children and their families in living to their fullest, and enhance the capacity of caregivers and clinicians to meet the needs of those they care for.
We are here for you.

Two New Ways to Engage, Connect, and Learn with DFX in 2026:
DFX Dialogues for Caregivers and Insights Newsletter for Clinicians

Introducing "DFX Dialogues"

We're excited to launch DFX Dialogues, a bi-monthly gathering of caregivers and DFX team members at which we will discuss books that focus on the intersection of development and mental health. We'll have copies of the books to lend or you can find them online or at your local library.

First Meeting: Wednesday, February 25, 6:00 - 7:30 pm

Our first book selection will be "The Whole Brain Child" by Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson.

We'll gather in our community room to discuss this book, focusing on b
rain-body integration, practical parenting strategies, and techniques for making sense of challenging behaviors.

Come as you are. Whether you’ve read the book cover to cover or just skimmed a chapter, your presence and perspective matter.

Introducing "Insights"

We are excited to share the launch of a newsletter specifically for clinicians! Through "Insights" each month we'll offer a few quiet moments to pause, reflect, and stay connected - with our work, with one another, and with the larger Learning Journeys community. The core vision for this newsletter is for it to be another pathway through which we can collectively learn and grow.

If you have a Learning Journeys account with us then you're already on the mailing list. For more information on DFX Learning Journeys classes and the LJ Community, click on the button below.
