It’s been a little while since we had a ribbon cutting and now we have three in a week! Come join us to welcome and celebrate these new area businesses!

Welcome to Uptown Cheapskate! Wow, that was like Black Friday when they opened the doors. You have to add this to your holiday shopping stops. The selection is incredible and all gently use name brand items!

Our annual Porterhouse Holiday Luncheons are always the best way to kick off the holiday season. A special thank you to the Porterhouse team for giving us this special opportunity each year. Thank you to our 2024 presenting sponsor, Print Lab Wraps for the holiday gift. Thank you to the Lakeville North Now & Then Singers (sponsored by ProTech Automotive) and the Lakeville South Encore Singers (sponsored by Dakota Electric) for the holiday carols – and of course to ALL OF YOU who came out to kick off the season with us!

If you missed the holiday lunch, no worries – there is another opportunity for some holiday fun and reindeer games! Ugly sweater is next week. Your ticket includes a free drink, light appetizers, and a chance at some prizes.

As we wind down 2024, I want to remind you of the early bird deadline for the 2025 Community Expo, our 22^nd annual show. This is the one major community-focused event that the Chamber hosts. If local residents are your target audience, this show is designed for you. You will receive a $50 discount on your booth if signed up by the end of 2024. Click the image to register. Contact Brenda if you want to register in 2024 and pay in 2025.

Our show features over 100 local exhibitors, in all categories of business, and gets a couple thousand people throughout the day. The Lakeville Lions serve free coffee in the morning, we have lunch available in the afternoon, we do a large prize drawing for attendees (and one for exhibitors!) and other fun things as well. This year we are introducing a Young Entrepreneur Section, where kinds under 18 can come and sell their products to the community! Send your budding business owners HERE to register for a YES table!

If you get the Mayor’s weekly newsletter, you saw that Wonderous Collective, the team behind Bourbon Butcher, announced they are opening a location of the Farmer's Grandson in Lakeville. The restaurant is adjacent to the Amoco Gas Station right outside of downtown. We look forward to celebrating this new dining option!

This lovely lady is celebrating 24 years with the Chamber and Visit Lakeville this week! Jeanne has been instrumental in our work and has given so much of her time and talent to many organizations throughout her tenure. Thank you, Jeanne Hutter, for your continued commitment to our community! Wish Jeanne a Happy Anniversary here.
