HAVE A

FUN

AND

SAFE SUMMER

The Charter System Foundation, Inc. was founded on the belief that meaningful change in education can occur only if principals, teachers, parents, and community partners are empowered with the authority and flexibility to make decisions at the school house level to best meet the individual needs of each student.

MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Connecting with Our Member Districts This Summer

As the 2025–2026 school year comes to a close, I want to personally thank each of our member districts for your extraordinary leadership, commitment, and service to students, staff, families, and communities across Georgia.

Leading a school district is both challenging and deeply meaningful work. This year has once again demonstrated the resilience, innovation, and dedication that define our Charter Systems. Your continued efforts to expand opportunities for students and strengthen learning across your communities are truly appreciated, and I am grateful for the partnership we share.

Over the summer months, I would welcome the opportunity to connect individually with our member superintendents through brief Zoom conversations. My hope is to hear more about your district’s successes, learn about the innovative work taking place across your system, and better understand any challenges or priorities ahead. These conversations will also help us identify ways the Charter System Foundation team can continue supporting the outstanding work happening in your districts.

If you would like to schedule a brief Zoom conversation this summer, please feel free to reach out at your convenience. I would sincerely value the opportunity to connect with you.

Thank you again for your leadership and continued partnership. I look forward to speaking with many of you over the summer.

Georgia Council on Literacy

We’re proud to partner with the Georgia Council on Literacy—alongside the Georgia Municipal Association and Georgia City Solutions—for the Georgia Reads campaign, a statewide initiative recognizing and supporting community-driven efforts to advance literacy. As part of the campaign, our signature literacy program, READBowl, helped students across Georgia rack up over 61 million reading minutes, and more than 11,000 books were distributed to children throughout the state! Together, we’re inspiring a love of reading and empowering communities across Georgia to build a brighter, more literate future
