MOBILITY WORKSHOP

"Impact of AI and Emerging Trend of Software Defined Vehicles (SDV)"

Generative AI has tremendous potential for creating new vehicle products, systems, services, driver interactions and unique marketing touchpoints. Software Defined Vehicles are platforms that allow for ongoing updates of systems and services. The speakers will discuss how they are reaching the market (by which OEMs) as well as the link between SDV and AI, and how are smart suppliers and vehicle producers taking advantage of the two to quickly address market needs. This workshop will also cover the below points:

  • What is generative AI and how is it being used for vehicle development
  • How can AI make creating software faster and less resource intensive, and what are the IP implications of using AI tools in vehicle development
  • What is the vehicle OEM view of SDV, and what are the advantages they see in AI creating new vehicle features and bringing them to market
  • Who are the leaders in SDV and in what markets
  • With increasing trade friction in world markets, do we see evidence that AI tools will be restricted from worldwide use by key developers
  • What dangers exist for traditional vehicle manufacturer and systems suppliers in not being at the forefront of the use of AI and developing products enabling SDV
  • What is the regulatory environment in the EU & US involving deployment of AI in vehicle production and operation
