ALWAYS....REACHING HIGHER
From the Superintendent...
Greetings!

This week, as our first students return to the classroom, the new school year becomes tangible. New students and families join our school communities, walking alongside those who are returning. While for many, the anticipation of the new year carries excitement, we also acknowledge the unique challenges carried within our communities as students and staff return to the classroom this fall.

My prayer for each of you, your students, and the faculty and staff who faithfully serve them is that you are filled with an enduring hope and that the Holy Spirit continue to provide you with gifts of courage, patience, and abundant opportunities each day to revel in the grandeur of God.

Below are important updates regarding accommodations for employees who have received exemptions from the governor’s proclamation regarding vaccination. Additionally, there is guidance for schools with regards to administering the exemption process for volunteers for the coming school year.

Faithfully,
Nicholas

Sixth Annual Immigration Summit-Saturday, August 27th at Seattle University
The recent synodal process has encouraged Catholics to engage in a Culture of Encounter, which entails deep listening. With an open heart, this deep listening allows us to receive the hopes and aspirations, pains and struggles, of our brothers and sisters seeking justice. In response, we commit to accompany these communities and invite you to join us for a day of camaraderie, listening, learning, and action in our struggle for justice for immigrants. We’ll have opportunities to hear from immigrant communities, get updates on current immigration issues, and celebrate our diverse traditions. Specific workshops will address mental health, advocacy, legal issues, and refugee sponsorship.
