January 2022 | Early Childhood Advocate Updates
Thank you for being an important part of the United Way of Weld County family. I am thankful for each of you and your advocacy for the children and families in our community. I look forward to working together to support the early childhood workforce and families in the new year. I hope this year brings you health and happiness!

Sheri Hannah-Ruh, Director of Early Childhood Initiatives
Covering Weld Diaper Bank

Did you know that babies require up to 12 diapers a day? That is a cost of $70-$80 a month. In Weld County, 1 in 3 families struggle with diaper need, which is the lack of a sufficient amount of diapers to keep a baby clean, dry and healthy. Watch this 2-minute video about the Diaper Bank with Amelia Ritchhart, United Way family support coordinator.

Thank you to Buell Foundation, Guardian Storage of Greeley, Littler Youth Fund at the Weld Community Foundation, PDC Energy, Richmark Companies, State of Colorado Office of Early Childhood, United Power, Weecycle and United Way of Weld County donors for making the Covering Weld Diaper Bank possible. To support diaper bank activities you can make a donation or volunteer.
