Destination:

Conakry, Guinea

After months of planning and coordinating, on Thursday, January 11, we loaded a full container destined for Conakry, Guinea to an organization we’ve worked with previously: Fight Against Aids Guinea West Africa (FAAGUI). FAAGUI is a nonprofit, nongovernmental agency with a mission to eradicate HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, and poverty. Their targeted beneficiaries are orphans, widows, families in poverty, and people with disabilities.

This shipment included an impressive 1,026 boxes/crates, filled 2,947 cubic feet, and was valued at an extraordinary $348,500. Praise God for all the details, and the funding that came together to make it happen. Please pray for this shipment to arrive safely.

Seeking Volunteers!

For over 25 years, the heart of MMI has been “Medical Aid Supplying Hope” and that continues to be the focus of our daily work. Do you desire to get medical supplies worldwide to those in need? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us fulfill our mission. Take a look at these areas and pray about getting involved:

Warehouse and medical volunteers: medical experience is awesome but not required. Detailed training will be provided.
Small instrument repair and testing: complete training is provided, no experience necessary! And, this position comes with a dedicated workspace, aka an office!
Respiratory Technician: We are looking for someone with some experience using respiratory therapy equipment to check donated RT equipment before it is shipped.
Partnership council: help MMI raise funds to sustain and grow the ministry!
Website, social media, and marketing: Help MMI get the word out around our community and beyond.

Travel With MMI in 2024!

Get your passports ready and travel with us to Fiji, July 17-30, 2024. We’re looking for medical and non-medical travelers who desire to serve the Fijian people. More details will be available soon.

2023 giving statements were sent via email at the end of January. If you have any questions about the statement or if you have any difficulty finding the statement, please contact Myra in the office at (559) 324-1255 for help.

Here’s a quick tutorial on how to open your MMI statement. For the security of your private MMI information, we use Aplos.

Find and open the email from comms@aplos.com sent on January 31, and click on the link in blue.
If it is your first time in Aplos, you need to create an account
You must make your own password, one you will remember, they will not send you one.
They will send you a captcha question. please answer it.
Then log in.
Select a contribution statement from your home dashboard
Once the contribution statement appears go to the 3 dots under the actions tab
Choose the detail format
Go to "download file" on your computer, select the detail file
Finally, click print

Join us for our next Second Saturday Workday!

On January 13th we welcomed Sigma Sigma Phi the osteopathic medicine honors fraternity from California Health Sciences University in Clovis. We're grateful for the many extra hands to sort through bins and pallets!

We are back in the warehouse for a Second Saturday Workday and you are cordially invited to join us from 9:00 until noon on February 10, 2024.

This day is specially designed for groups, individuals, those with or without medical experience, students, and those wanting to learn more about what we do. Come see for yourself what the ministry is all about. The coffee is hot and the snacks are plentiful! Orientation starts at 9:00 and you will be done before lunch.

We have many shipments planned in the coming months and still need a warehouse with a loading dock within our budget. Please see the video message from Tom Stoeckel, MMI founder below.
We are recruiting volunteers for the warehouse and for the 2024 Fiji medical team. Please pray for the Lord to lead people to join the ministry.
