Labyrinth at Springbank

The Spring session at Springbank was a wonderful experience. We were blessed to have sabbatical participants for 12, 8 and 4 weeks from the US, S. Korea, Nigeria and Canada and others joining individual programs from different states within the country. To all, the programs and experience were unique, life giving, spirit nourishing and healing. Being a multicultural and multi-lingual group, the cuisine included wonderful food from S. Korea and Nigeria and celebrations, rituals, songs in different languages. Wonderful socials with good snacks, beverages, music, dancing and laughter to celebrate birthdays, Thanksgiving and other occasions made the Spring session a joyful and fun-filled time. It was indeed a celebration of Thomas Berry’s three dynamic principles of the Universe – differentiation, interiority and communion.

We now look forward to the Fall session starting September 11, 2024- Fall 2024 registration is opening soon! We invite you to check our website , social media or call (843) 372 6311 to explore programs, personal retreats or design a mini-sabbatical.

We would love to have you spend time with us!

We are honored to dedicate our bi-annual funding appeal to the memory of Sister Barbara Fava, OP, who lovingly served Springbank for 12 years. Barbara’s care for our gardens and grounds exemplified her dedication to our mission of celebrating the Divine in all creation.

Thanks to your generosity and grants from the Wheaton Franciscan and Adrian Dominican sisters, we’ve completed the Beaver Dam Analog in our Swamp Sanctuary.

We now seek your support to build a 100ft boardwalk and a screened gazebo for retreatants, with an estimated cost of $22,000. Additionally, we need $10,000 for an arborist to care for our cherished Grandmother Tree and Live Oaks, and to expand our vegetable gardens.

Please know that any donation will be welcomed and put to good use. Your prayers and financial support ensures that Springbank continues to be a place of rest, renewal, and revitalization.
