Every year, the ReMA Paper Stock Industries (PSI) Chapter offers two don't-miss events at the Paper and Plastics Recycling Conference (PPRC), and this year is no exception.

First, PSI will hold its reception for PSI members and potential new members on Tuesday, Oct. 27—the night before the PPRC event officially begins. This ever-popular gathering will be held from 8 to 10 p.m. (CDT). in The Annex private dining room of Stetsons Modern Steak + Sushi in the Hyatt Regency Chicago, site of the PPRC event. The reception gives PSI the opportunity to thank the donors to its 2026 scholarship program and officially kick off its scholarship fundraising drive for 2027. And if you attend the reception, you can network with industry colleagues AND have the chance to enter a raffle for a $500 Amazon gift card, which PSI will award during the PPRC event. So don't miss out!

PSI's second big event at this year's PPRC is its panel session titled "Paper Packaging: Policy & Practice with ReMA’s Paper Stock Industries Chapter." The session is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 29, from 1 to 2:15 p.m. (CDT).

Natalie Messer Betts of ReMA (pictured at right) will moderate the PSI session, which will feature the following speakers:

■ Susan Cornish of Insight + Action;

■ PSI Chapter President Kathy DeLano of Dixie Pulp & Paper Inc.;

■ Kristen Hildreth of ReMA; and

■ Rebecca Reichenbach of Rumpke.

The PSI panel session will present the latest findings from ReMA’s 2026 MRF survey and review how ReMA is advocating for the industry on policies that affect paper and packaging recycling.

As an added enticement at the session, PSI will raffle off a $500 Amazon gift card! PSI members and nonmembers can enter the raffle at PSI's welcome reception on Oct. 27 or at the ReMA/PSI booth in the PPRC expo hall on Oct. 28-29.

Entries for the gift-card drawing will be accepted until the PSI panel session begins. The winner must be present. During the session, PSI President Kathy DeLano will hold the drawing for the gift card.
