The weather here is warming, much to my delight. Tulips are just in bloom. Lilacs are only just starting to open. fields of Lupin have not begun to bloom. Some trees are just budding out. We are far enough north that the seasons lag at least a month behind New England.
Bob got to have just a glimpse of the beauty of Newfoundland while here, and on our mini shakedown cruise yesterday and today. Even though cloud and a bit grey, Bob got a feel for the dramatic landscapes of Conception Bay, as well as cozy homes nestled in quiet coves of lush green pine and grass. It is a rugged coast and pulls you in, tugging at your emotions. You can see a bit more of it in the photos below.
Tonight, at midnight, my friend and new crew member, Mory Creighton flies in to St. John's at midnight. Tomorrow at dawn, I take Bob to the airport for his flight home. he has been amazing in his help in readying the boat. she could not be in better shape.
