Maxwell Football Club Announces Partnership with Operation Teammate to Honor Military Families and Their Children

The Maxwell Football Club is proud to announce a partnership with Operation Teammate, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting military children through unique sports experiences. This collaboration will provide meaningful opportunities for military families while strengthening the Club’s community outreach initiatives.

Since 2015, Operation Teammate has been committed to showing military children that they are not alone by making them honorary teammates for a day. Through partnerships with collegiate and professional sports organizations, Operation Teammate gives these children VIP experiences, including meeting athletes, attending practices, and getting behind-the-scenes tours of facilities. The goal is to foster connection, involvement, and inspiration for military children, emphasizing their resilience and strength.

“At the Maxwell Football Club, we understand the sacrifices that military families make every day,” said Mark Wolpert, Executive Director of the Maxwell Football Club. “Our partnership with Operation Teammate is a way for us to give back, showing these incredible young men and women that they are valued and appreciated. Football has always been about more than just the game—it’s about leadership, perseverance, and community. We are honored to stand alongside Operation Teammate in supporting military children and their families.”

Operation Teammate provides an environment for military children to feel special and take their minds off the hardships of military life. Studies show that children who participate in Operation Teammate events demonstrate reduced stress, increased interest in new activities, and a stronger sense of community support. These experiences offer comfort and encouragement to military families, reinforcing the idea that their sacrifices are recognized and valued.

Tim Montjoy, Founder and CEO of Operation Teammate, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Operation Teammate events give military children the opportunity to be recognized for their sacrifices. This partnership with the Maxwell Football Club is a perfect match, as we work together to highlight the importance of mentorship and leadership through sports.”

As part of this partnership, Operation Teammate will attend the Maxwell Awards Gala and a VIP event the night before the gala. Three military families will be invited as special guests to the Maxwell Awards Gala, further emphasizing the appreciation for their sacrifices. Additionally, Operation Teammate will connect the Maxwell Football Club with Atlanta-area contacts and corporate sponsors, strengthening community ties and expanding outreach between the organization and the Atlanta community.

To support the Maxwell Football Club’s leadership initiative, Operation Teammate will invite 7th–12th grade students from the Atlanta area to attend the morning Maxwell Leadership Program on the day of the Gala. This event will provide mentorship and engagement opportunities with legendary football players, coaches, and business leaders, giving these young men and women valuable skills to use both on and off the field.

The Maxwell Football Club is honored to support military families and looks forward to a lasting relationship with Operation Teammate.
