A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
We look forward to
returning to campus
in August. We’re working closely with Facilities, Information Technology Services Department, and the Finance Division to ensure that students and faculty can safely use the Cutler Center finance lab when classes resume. We will also continue to provide remote access to our resources for those who can’t return to campus next month.
In this issue of the Cutler Center newsletter, we discuss the steps taken to ensure that our students and faculty have uninterrupted access to all the cutting-edge resources, experiential learning opportunities, and events they would normally experience on campus. We also highlight the strength of the Finance faculty and celebrate some of their many accomplishments.
As we reflect on the spring and summer, we thank you for your continued support of the Cutler Center during these uncertain times. Your support is critical to our mission of advancing Babson’s innovative and practical approach to finance education.
Regards,
Patrick Gregory, CFA

Vying for First in a Volatile Market

SIGNATURE LEARNING EXPERIENCES

“The Cutler Center and its faculty have provided me introspective study and insight into real-world financial tools and skillsets through countless classes, breakout sessions, guest speakers, and self-study opportunities. The Center’s resources provided me valuable experiences in financial modeling and portfolio management that have both given me the necessary confidence to succeed in my work upon graduating from Babson.” - Zachary Katz '20

“The Cutler Center has played a significant role in my Babson experience by giving me a chance to work together with faculty and other students to learn financial applications, like Bloomberg and FactSet. When I was elected to participate in the Babson College Fund, the Cutler Center provided a perfect space for meaningful discussions and in-depth research to fully understand the companies we were pitching and the opportunity to stay up to date on our portfolio.” - Isabelle Tabak '20

How to Manage Your Money in College and Beyond
Sponsored by the Babson Financial Literacy Project, these hands-on workshops aim to change the way students think about money. While exploring real-world financial situations, students will hone their problem-solving skills and build lifelong strategies for budgeting, building credit, saving, and more. Participants do not need any financial expertise, and only basic math skills are required.
