Greetings!
As we prepare to begin the season of Lent, let us pray for peace in our world. May each of us be God’s instrument of peace through our daily interactions with one another. Most especially, as leaders, we might prayerfully respond to our daily challenges as models of love and kindness. Archbishop Etienne has called on us to “strengthen our prayers as one family of God for an end to the war in Ukraine. Peace. Peace. Peace.”
Pope Francis’ reflection, “May weapons be silenced! God is with peacemakers, not with those who use violence.” Our Ash Wednesday ashes tell the world that we are people of love and hope even in times of great sadness and cruelty. May our actions speak of our love for one another as we pray for peace.
We keep you in our prayers of gratitude,
Kristin and the OCS team
