Adult Formation Series: Being Christian

What does it actually mean to be Christian?

Not as a set of ideas to agree with,

but as a life shaped by four simple things:

baptism, the Bible, the Eucharist, and prayer.

This fall we will read Being Christian by Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury, and talk together about the practices at the heart of our common life. Williams writes with warmth and clarity, and the book is short enough to read a chapter a week without adding stress to your evenings. Whether these topics are brand new to you or you have been hearing them in church for decades, there is more here than any of us has finished discovering. Come for the conversation, the questions, and the joy of learning alongside one another. All are welcome.

Join us next Sunday, November 15 for our monthly parish breakfast. Held between our two worship services, this event is a wonderful way to connect with other members of our church family. This is a great way to invite friends and neighbors to experience our community. All are welcome!

Join us for Evening Song: Music of Beethoven, Chopin, Amy Beach and Arvo Pärt. We will be welcoming violinist Nicholas Currie to Christ Church and enjoy the talent and musicianship of our own Diana Greene on piano! A reception will follow - all are welcome!
