Season of Reflection and Memory from OSPA

As we pause to observe Memorial Day, the Oregon Society of Physician Associates honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication continue to inspire us, and we extend our deepest gratitude to them and their families. This day is also a reminder of the values we uphold as healthcare professionals—service, compassion, and commitment to the well-being of others. Whether you're on the frontlines or taking a well-deserved moment of rest, we thank you for the role you play in caring for our communities.

Wishing you a safe and reflective Memorial Day.

SB 536

SB 536 passed out of the Senate and the House and is headed to the governors desk. SB 536 expands the definition of who can be a medical examiner in Oregon to include PAs

and Nurse Practitioners. This is vitally important to help increase the number of medical examiners we have in our state to meet the significant growth in caseload that MEs are currently facing.
