What to Do When Your Insurance Claim Is Denied

A Day in the Life of a Social Worker

CancerCare oncology social workers play a vital role by offering essential emotional and practical support. Last month, to honor Social Work Month, we explored what a typical day looks like for a social worker.

The work they do shapes our clients' experiences, offering not just support but also hope and empowerment during a challenging time.

AML World Awareness Day 2026

On April 21, 2026, join the global community in raising awareness for acute myeloid leukemia (AML). This year’s campaign focuses on improving understanding of AML – from early symptoms and diagnosis to treatment options and survivorship – while providing crucial support for patients and their families, throughout their journey.

Participate through the interactive ‘Looking Up’ webpage, featuring comprehensive resources on symptoms, treatment and more. Share the experience with others, and use our printable journals to document your AML journey. Together, we can empower patients.

CancerCare's Annual Spring Gala Is April 21!

CancerCare's annual Spring Gala is coming! On Tuesday, April 21, CancerCare will host a cocktail reception and dinner as well as silent and live auctions. Held at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City, the proceeds will help fund the financial and psychosocial services that CancerCare provides to those in need throughout the year.

It's not too late to offer your support! The need for our services is high and your support is as valuable as ever. Visit us to support the gala and for more information.

Patient & Caregiver Voices Needed

CancerCare wants to hear from adults who have faced financial or other challenges with their care at a hospital. Caregiver voices are also welcome. Your story can help make hospital care more accessible and affordable for cancer and other patients. Participation includes one Zoom or phone interview. Compensation will be provided.
