Our Rally starts at 10 am and speakers include council-members Alex Walker-Griffin from Hercules and Council-member Devin Murphy from Pinole, and Supervisor John Gioia.
The Honk and Wave Protest is at 11 am-12:30 and spread from the intersection of Tennent and San Pablo Ave. and spread out north, south and east from there. We’re planning a line of protestors holding signs of Resistance and Signs of Fascism. We’ll have extra signs.
Our Peace Ambassadors will ensure a safe and fun event, asking attendees to not block driveways, respect store traffic and only crossing at intersections due to heavy traffic in the area. Note parking is limited and we encourage everyone to arrive early, carpool or take the bus.
This is a family friendly event and the protest will conclude with a bring your own picnic at Fernandez park, where there’s a playground for kids and we’ll have a craft table.
At the end of the day, the Visibility Brigade will post our signs over I80 at the California Overcrossing in Rodeo from 4:30-5:30 pm.
