Congratulations to these newest CMPs!

I have crossed paths during their preparation through a mixture of my 16 hour virtual classes, my two-day in person classes, the MPI Global Master Class, my videos, and some random conversations. I am very proud and happy for all of you, and it means a lot to have been part of your journey.
The “Temporary Normal’

I have decided to call this time the “Temporary Normal’, not the “New Normal”. Unlike other reasons our world changes, we know this is a temporary stage---granted much longer than we thought, and definitely than we hoped. But we do know what will bring change to create this.
“New Normal”. When we get to the other side, yes many things will have changed from pre-pandemic, but I see this as a transition that we need to figure out now, and get through. We will learn many things in many ways, but it will make us adjust to the “New Normal” better. Many times changes to “Normal” change in a day---for those of you in the US who are old enough, think 9/11. Each country has those moments. We may not know exactly when it will all happen, but we know it will.

Let’s use the “Temporary Normal” to build a better self, meetings and events, and change the world for the better too.

One on One

Any questions you want to ask others or even the entire group? Let me know and we will get it out there. Joanne@JoanneDennison.com

What are you missing from traveling?

Some of you know one of my “things” is Biscoff cookies which I never had until airlines introduced them---how about Biscoff Ice Cream Bars?

Or maybe little packets of airline nuts—did you know there is a surplus? You can order them!

And in case you are missing those wonderful upscale bath amenities that you loved to collect
-because you would never pay the price for a full size….. Guess what’s on Amazon? I am assuming there is a surplus there also because many hotels had started moving to dispensers. It was actually less per ounce for me to buy these than a large bottle. And yes I know about the sustainability angle, but at least I know MY empty bottles will end up in recycling and not in the trash!

Wondering How to Get a CMP?

Get those questions answered at an information session that takes you from the application process through recertification.

And on the issues of cleanliness while traveling

Global Quarantine Standards and a Predictable Experience are Critical to Restoring Traveler Confidence
The more unknowns and inconsistencies, the less people are willing to travel.

This CEO has flown 33 times and spent 160 nights away this year. Here's his safety routine
And guess what? It’s not new

Would you like your own personal airline seat cover that you can throw in the wash?
Great idea---you will either need two or wash it when you get to your destination. I wonder how much a hotel will charge to launder that?

New Videos Coming!

Thanks to my friends at Discover Lehigh Valley and Wind Creek Bethlehem, we will be creating two new videos! I have been wanting to do one about room sets, built around my insistence that we “Sit in the Attendee’s Chair”, and how Maslow relates to meetings. We will also be doing one about site inspections and working with Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) or what many of us call CVB’s.

Wondering why you have been seeing Peeps and Crayola on the materials? For one thing they are located in the Lehigh Valley. Secondly…..you will have to wait and see!
