Dear Church Family,

We are excited to share that the congregation voted to call Rev. Cheri Metier as our next Senior Pastor!



After nearly a year of listening, searching, and prayerful discernment, we are grateful and excited to welcome her into our church family. We look forward to all that she will bring to our congregation through her leadership, compassion, creativity, and deep commitment to sharing God’s love with all.

Thank you to the Search and Call Committee for the many hours of thoughtful work, and to the entire congregation for your participation, prayers, and trust throughout this process.

From One Minister to Many

Dear FCC Pomona Friends,  



It is here! Our first Sunday worship together as Congregation and Pastor is Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. And to add to this milestone event, it is World Communion Sunday, global unifying event of Christ’s Church as all followers of Jesus all celebrate Holy Communion on this Sunday together. I trust that you’ll participate in this exciting worship as you are able either in-person or remotely.  

I am filled with hope as I begin ministry with you. I’ve already had the privilege of meeting with a couple of groups and I look forward to meeting with all groups, households, and individuals over the next months so we can get to know one another and I can hear your passion and hope for the ministry of First Christian Church near and far.
