Hello Valley View Families,

We hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! We are still looking for volunteers on Friday, December 19th, for the Gift of Time (see below). Please consider helping us out here at school- we'd love to have you.

Students are enjoying having the snow out at recess. In order to play in the snow and on the snow hills, students must have snow pants and boots-- and of course, the other essential winter gear. If you are in need of anything, please reach out to us. Please label your child's winter clothing, too, as we continue to have lost items daily to try to track down. Thank you!

It's going to be a great week! Go Valiant Knights!

Respectfully,

Jenni Tamblingson

Gift of Time- Volunteers Needed!

One of the most asked for gifts for a teacher is extra time. We would love to be able to grant this to teachers on Friday, 12/19! I am looking for parent/adult volunteers to lead/supervise an activity with classes on this day in order to give teachers some extra prep time. Prior to volunteering, if you have not done so already, you will need to fill out the online volunteer form which can be found HERE Also, please bring your license in on this day in order for the school to issue you a visitor badge. Thank you for helping us put this gift together for our teachers!

Learning Journals Coming Home

All Valley View classrooms will be sending home students' learning journals the week of November 24th. Students all have learning journals that they add to throughout the year tok eep track of their progress on grade level learning targets and goals. We will be sending them home school-wide three times this year- once per trimester- in order to keep communicating with families about progress. Inside the journal you should find a parent letter and some conversation prompts to use with your child. Thank you!
